Anchorage Ultimate Frisbee Club has been hosting a summer league, local tournaments and clinics since 1995. Check out what we have in store for this year! There’s a general schedule for Summer 2024 at the bottom of this page.
Summer league - Registration coming soon!
After positive feedback from the last two years, we will be doing two sessions of summer league again. It helped with attendance, team making, maximized learning, meeting new people and still provided quality ulitmate! Games will be played Mondays from 6-8ish with an afterparty/BBQ each week. Location: Delaney Park Strip (near 10th & G).
Session I - (4 weeks) Mondays 6 pm June 2-23
Session II - (6 weeks) Mondays 6 pm July 7-August 11
* 4th of July week - no league, Session II teams will be made
Beginner’s Clinic and Welcome to League BBQ May 28, 6pm on the Delaney Park Strip (10th & G St)
Come learn throwing skills, rules, strategy, hone your game before the start of league. Plus meet new people and enjoy a BBQ! Everyone welcome - you do not need to be registered for league to participate.
Tournaments
Anchorage Ultimate hosts two main tournaments each year: The Great Alaska Jamboree at the end of June (28-29) and the Daze of Disc in August (9-10) possibly 1 day depending on registration and weather). Don't miss the annual Fairbanks Hat Tournament the first weekend in June and other tournaments in Anchorage and around Alaska.
There will also be some one day goalty hat tournaments this summer (the first will be June 8). Registration and details will be shared in GroupMe and Facebook.
Pick-Up Games
Starting May 18, pick-up ultimate games will be played on Sundays at 4pm on the Delaney Park Strip (near 10th & G). Goalty will only be played in numbers are low - we’ve heard all the ultimate purists in our community and this is the game for you! Follow GroupMe or Facebook for changes and/or other casual ultimate games, goalty and/or spikeball called throughout the summer too.
Youth pickup will play on Sundays at 4pm too if there is interest.
The best way to find out about pick-up games is via our Facebook group: Anchorage Ultimate Players Group or by joining our GroupMe: Anchorage Ultimate Pickup Games. Pick-up is a great way to meet people and get more disc time! Our pick-up games are open to anyone. Please bring cleats, a light & dark shirt, and water.
On Thursdays (location TBD) there will be a pickup Goalty game at 6pm. Experience is suggested, more info will be posted on the GroupMe.
Women’s pick-up
The women’s ultimate scene is steadily growing in Anchorage! Stay up to date about pick-up games, clinics, and other happenings by joining our Facebook group: Anchorage Women’s Ultimate or GroupMe: Anchorage Women’s Ultimate Frisbee. Wednesdays at 6pm is the plan for women’s pickup, but it is best to join the GroupMe for up to date info. Last summer we mixed it up between Wednesdays and Thursdays depending on numbers.

Youth Ultimate

Youth Clinic: Sunday May 18, noon-3. Ages entering 3rd grade through High School. We will have two groups: elementary and middle/high. On the Parkstrip, 9th & G. No fee, but please register by clicking the link below.
Monday Youth Scrimmage: This year we will continue with a youth game/scrimmage Mondays 5-6pm, June 3-August 5 on the Park Strip near 10th & G (before adult summer league). Ages 8ish-15ish. If we get enough numbers the game will break into 2 age groups. Monday scrimmage is a drop-in stype game. There is no registration or cost, but an adult responsible for each player needs to stay on site. Waiver will be required each season. Bring cleats or running shoes and a water bottle. Kids can also stick around and watch the adult league games at 6:30. Youth age 16+ are welcome to register and play in adult league - especially the first session for beginners.
Youth Jamboree: TBD toward the end of summer.
COMPETITIVE/club ultimate
Currently, there is not an organized competitive/club team in Anchorage or Alaska.
